New Orleans, get ready to dissect and build your own mechanical heart!

STEM NOLA invites you to a FREE STEM Saturday on Saturday, October 10, 2026 focused on the Heart & Circulatory System at the Andrew P. Sanchez & Copelin-Byrd Multi-Service Center.

This event is open for students in grades K-12. Participants will dive into interactive, hands-on STEM activities, including the opportunity to dissect a real heart and build their own mechanical heart with guidance from real physicians and healthcare professionals.

COST: FREE for K-12th graders

This event will be hosted in partnership with Training Grounds, a community organization dedicated to creating opportunities and resources that support young children and families and expand STEM access in our community. Parents with children ages 0–4 are invited to explore STEM through hands-on play and interactive activities designed just for them!
